Cheeseman Transport is hiring a 1st Shift Freight Handler in Greencastle, Indiana to load, unload and secure freight. This position supports daily terminal operations by ensuring trailers are loaded correctly and freight keeps moving safely and efficiently.

Pay

  • Starting Pay: $19.00 per hour
  • Paid weekly 
  • Direct Deposit

Schedule

  • Monday –Thursday:  8:00AM - 6:00pm
  • Fridays  - 10:00am - 4:00pm
  • Every 4th Friday off

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift to loading and unloading freight from dry van trailers
  • Secure and unblock freight in back of trailers using nail guns, wooden blocks, and pry bars
  • Use scanners to update tracking in system

  • Physically transfer and secure cargo
  • Be able to work in a fast paced work environment.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
