Location: Ft. Recovery, Ohio

Cheeseman Transport is currently hiring a Full-Time Weekend Dock / Freight Handler at our Ft. Recovery, Ohio terminal.

This position offers a consistent three-day work schedule, competitive weekend pay, scheduled wage increases, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Schedule

Friday – Sunday
6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Pay

Starting pay:

• Friday: $19.50  per hour
• Saturday and Sunday: $29.25  per hour

With scheduled pay increases, employees can earn up to:

•  $23.50  per hour on Fridays after 3 years
• $35.25  per hour on Saturdays and Sundays after 3 years

Employees also earn 5 vacation days after 90 days.

Position Responsibilities

The Dock / Freight Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently handling freight in a fast-paced terminal environment. Responsibilities include:

• Operating a forklift to load and unload freight from dry van trailers
• Securing and unblocking freight using nail guns, wooden blocks, and pry bars
• Using scanners to update freight tracking information in the system
• Physically transferring and securing cargo
• Reading and working with bills of lading
• Maintaining a safe and organized work environment
• Assisting with other duties as needed
