Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess prior knowledge and experience in servicing and repairing heavy duty trailers including brakes, electrical, metal fabrication and welding.
Job duties would include (but not limited to):
1.Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties on various parts of the trailer such as: tires, brakes, lights, ABS, doors, landing gear, and other items
2.Suspension and running gear components
3.Landing gear assembly and components
4.Brake and air components
5.Electrical, lighting and wiring components
6.Interior and floor components
7.Maintains a high level of welding and metal fabrication skills
8.Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on trailers
9.Hydraulics
10. Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems
11. Perform repairs as needed or directed
12. DOT inspections
13. Complete necessary paperwork on equipment and work performed
14. Maintain clean and safe work environment
15. Ensure completed work meets federal and state codes/regulations
16. Work collaboratively with other Technicians to evaluate and repair equipment
17. Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Supervisor
